A pre-purchase survey is the most comprehensive vessel inspection, recommended for all new and used boat purchases. This stem-to-stern examination covers structural integrity, out-of-water inspection, sea trial, electrical, propulsion, machinery, navigation, auxiliary systems, cosmetics, and overall maintenance.
A marine survey inspection is performed so the insurance company can determine whether or not the vessel is an acceptable risk. They are interested in structural integrity and the safety for its intended use. Most insurance companies require a marine survey on older boats. They will also want to know the vessels' fair market value.
Condition & Value Marine surveys establish a vessel's fair market value for various purposes, including financing, estate settlements, donations, and legal cases."
f your vessel has sustained damage, a damage survey can provide the information you need for repairs and insurance claims. We assess the extent of damage, recommend necessary repairs, estimate repair costs, and, upon request, help to determine the probable cause."
